Starter Locs – Full Service This full-service appointment begins with a detox cleanse of the hair and a scalp treatment to ensure a clean, healthy foundation. Starter Locs will be installed using one of the following methods, based on your hair length and texture: Comb Coil Set (using firm hold Loc Gel by Taliah Waajiid): Ideal for shorter hair, offering a defined, uniform look. Two-Strand Twist: Recommended for longer hair to help reduce frizz and maintain longer-lasting hold between appointments. The stylist uses Made for Locs brand products specifically formulated for Loc care. If you prefer a different product line, you are welcome to bring your own. Please note that this does not affect the cost of your service—product use is complimentary; charges are based on the service itself.

✦ DETOX TREATMENT FOR LOCS (ADD-ON SERVICE ONLY) ✦ This must be booked as an additional service—not a standalone appointment. This add-on service is designed to deeply cleanse and rejuvenate your Locs before your main service begins. Includes: A 20–30 minute soak using an MFL vegan Loc Detox Bar, similar to a bath bomb, formulated to lift and remove excess buildup, dirt, product residue, and impurities from your Locs. Followed by a professional Loc wash using clarifying products. After Detox: If booked with a retwist, your retwist service will resume immediately after the detox and cleanse. If booked as a Loc wash only, your Locs will receive light defrizzing, then dried under a low-heat hooded dryer (approximately 25 minutes). Finished with a gentle rose water mist for hydration and a scalp and Loc oiling treatment to lock in moisture.

This is a one-to-one consultation, priced at an hourly rate starting at $50 for the first hour and $35 per additional hour, with a maximum of 3 hours. Crochet Braid Installation Installation is available with a full-service package (includes wash, scalp treatment, any necessary trims, and blow-dry); you may opt to come pre-washed and thoroughly dried hair and just receive an installation of crochet braids with no additional services. Purpose of Crochet Styles: Crochet styles are designed as protective hairstyles—meant to shield the ends of your hair, retain moisture, and reduce breakage caused by dryness or damage. In some cases, trimming damaged ends may be necessary prior to installation to preserve hair health and optimize growth. For best results and to avoid damage to your natural hair, protective styles should not be worn longer than 6–8 weeks. After removal, your hair should rest for at least one full week before a new installation. What to Expect During Installation: This service includes the creation of a customized braid pattern (based on your desired final style), followed by the attachment of synthetic or human hair of your choice using the crochet method. The braid pattern is tailored to support the style and structure of your chosen look. Time Commitment: Installation: Approximately 3 hours Add an additional 45 minutes will impend if you select the full-service (wash and blow-dry) option Hair Not Included: Clients are responsible for purchasing and providing their own hair. Please bring: 6–7 bundles for styles such as crochet braids, faux locs, or twists To assure there is full coverage, at least 4 bundles for loose crochet synthetic hair, or 5 pack bundles for human crochet hair. Important: This service is primarily performed with synthetic hair, the temporary nature of synthetic hair reinforces the importance of timely removal and prevents over-wear, which could lead to breakage or scalp strain. Crochet with Human Hair Crochet installations using human hair will only be performed with specialized pre-looped human hair. This specific hair type is high-quality, reusable, and can be purchased through QVR Hair Company. Coloring Services Include: Dye application, including wash and deep conditioning treatment. Color rinses, complete wash, color application, rinse, and deep conditioning treatment. Coloring can be added as a service or booked separately. As a separate service, the fee includes minimal styling for natural hair but does not include retwisting or styling for Locs. An allergy patch test is required prior to any color service. Please do NOT wash your hair prior to your color appointment. If requested, the stylist will purchase the color on your behalf; the cost will be added to your final fee. Please note: Service time may be adjusted depending on hair length and coverage requirements. IMPORTANT COLOR POLICY – Please Read Carefully: NO BLEACHING OR STRIPPING of hair will be performed under any circumstances. NO permanent black box dyes will be used, as they do not lift and can interfere with future color goals. NO henna or metallic dye lifting services will be offered. It is absolutely essential that you disclose any and all prior coloring history to your stylist before booking your color service. This includes use of black box dyes, henna, or any past chemical or permanent coloring. Failure to disclose this information may significantly alter your final results and can compromise the integrity of your hair. Color-treated hair often requires additional moisture and care. A follow-up moisture treatment regimen may be recommended to maintain hair health post-color.

Micro Locs are started using the two-strand twist method, with interlocking maintenance every 6 to 8 weeks.
